I started a T-shirt experiment in 2015. I had designs made for Merch by Amazon, opened a Printful store, wrote research notes… and then shelved it.

How we do it

The rules I actually follow

  • Zero trademark terms.
  • Check dark designs against a black background before uploading.
  • One approved master file per design.
Lessons learned

Failures included

  • Listing a shirt isn't marketing it. Traffic is the only real lever.
  • So far only one launch video has gone out, on Facebook.
